The “Madeira en Valor II” agreement, developed between the Galician Forest Industry Agency (XERA) and the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), was created to promote the use of chestnut wood and its contribution to the decarbonization of the construction sector.
Within the framework of the Madeira en Valor agreement, developed between the Galician Forest Industry Agency (XERA) and the Structural Timber Engineering Platform (PEMADE) of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), these videos present the main activities carried out throughout the project for the study and valorization of Galician chestnut as a structural material in construction.

The TRABE calculation tool is a digital platform developed by the Structural Timber Engineering Platform of USC (PEMADE) to facilitate the structural design of timber elements in floors and roofs. Conceived as an open and free resource, TRABE aims to become a key technical reference for professionals working in timber construction and rehabilitation.
